We are seeking an expert-level EMC Engineer to lead electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) activities in electronic product development. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in EMC design, validation, and certification, ensuring compliance with international standards and the robustness of systems against electromagnetic interference.

• Ensure EMC Lab procedures and practices are in compliance with automotive EMC Laboratory standards
• Review/Analyze the customer specification, legal requirements, and internal specifications towards the development of electronic test plans.
• Work with Lead Test Engineers in defining the tools required for EMC testing for a given customer and program
• Support EMC reviews of electrical schematic & PCB layout designs and provide input to the designers to ensure compliance to automotive EMC standards at all phases of the product development.
• Support Software Validation team to ensure that all requirements test covered.
• Perform EMC pre-compliance testing and analyze the results according to internal test methods
• Perform EMC testing per customer specification on any product, to meet annual certification requirements issued by the customer.
• Perform analysis of all test failures including root cause analysis of such failures.
• Issue written reports of experiments performed and data collected. Develop written procedures.
• Perform analysis of completed devices, providing information to assist in correcting deficiencies and provide information to appropriate departments.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 5-7 yrs of EMC engineering, test and evaluation experience (MSEE preferred)
• Education in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field accepted
• iNARTE engineering certification is also desirable.
• Strong experience in solving EMC issues by performing simulations, running tests, analyzing and reporting status
• Use of NI LabVIEW based software for the testing of electronic systems.
• Requires full understanding and application of Radiated Susceptibility, Conducted Susceptibility, Radiated Emissions, Conducted Emissions, High Frequency and other specialty EMI test configurations, elements and requirements
• Various EMI test equipment experience (TEM Cell, Spectrum Analyzer, ESD, Pulse Generators, etc.)
• Demonstrated analytical approach to preventing & solving EMC problems
• Basic Electronic equipment: Oscilloscope, Resistance Bridge, DC Capacitance Bridge, Analog and Digital Multimeters, Function Generator, Various Electronic Gages and Hand Tools, Computerized Equipment.
• Computer with word processing, spread sheet and data collection software
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to work in a multicultural environment.
