Puesto Summary

The SAP MM Solution Architect is responsible for designing and leading end‑to‑end SAP Materials Management solutions that support complex procurement, inventory, and logistics processes. This role acts as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders and project teams, ensuring that SAP MM solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with Syntax’s quality and delivery standards.

The ideal candidate combines deep functional expertise in SAP MM with strong integration knowledge across modules such as SD, PP, WM/EWM, and FI/CO — driving innovation and operational excellence for global clients.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture

• Lead the design and configuration of SAP MM solutions covering procurement, inventory management, vendor management, and material valuation.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and compliant SAP designs.
• Develop functional specifications, process documentation, and configuration standards.
• Ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules (SD, PP, WM/EWM, FI/CO).
• Design and optimize purchasing workflows, release strategies, and approval hierarchies.

Implementation & Project Leadership

• Lead SAP MM implementation projects through all phases — blueprinting, configuration, testing, cutover, and go‑live.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, developers, and business stakeholders.
• Provide expert input on data migration, master data governance, and reporting.
• Support global template design and rollout in multi‑País environments.

Continuous Improvement & Support

• Identify opportunities to enhance process automation, data accuracy, and system performance.
• Troubleshoot complex SAP MM issues and provide long‑term solutions.
• Deliver post‑go‑live support and optimization services.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands‑on experience in SAP MM configuration and solution design.
• Proven experience leading SAP MM implementations (ECC and/or S/4HANA).
• Strong understanding of procurement, inventory control, and logistics execution processes.
• Deep integration knowledge with SD, PP, WM/EWM, and FI/CO.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• English proficiency (written and verbal).

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP S/4HANA implementation experience (greenfield or conversion).
• SAP certification in Materials Management or Procurement.
• Experience with Ariba, S/4 Procurement, or Fiori apps.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or regulated industries.
• Exposure to global template design and rollout projects.
