• Support painting & chemical baths processes to ensure equipment is uptime, meet production goals and maintain high product quality.
• Prepare and maintain documentation (Standard Work, and Work Instructions) for new and existing equipment.
• Find opportunities and lead projects to improve efficiency, decrease costs, improve quality, and achieve timely delivery to meet production requirements.
• Lead new equipment financial justifications, installations, process modifications and improvements.
• Work with operators, team leaders, value stream managers, and planners to optimize process center layouts and designs incorporating material flow and line balancing.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operators to resolve equipment issues.
• Coordinate with Product Development to effectively launch new products into high-volume manufacturing.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Chemistry or Industrial preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Lean manufacturing background and a strong focus on continuous improvement.
• 3+ years’ experience as a Paint Engineer (powder paint desire) or related discipline with the following knowledge:
• Chemical Pretreatment – measure and control parameters, fill control sheets, schedule cleaning maintenance, change rinse aids, sprayers, etc.
• Drying Oven – Ensure proper temperature settings for the process, and determine set up for gas consumption.
• Paint Room – Management and maintenance of application equipment, including guns, modules, pots or feeders, pumps, fluidization beds, particle sizes, recycling mixing, cartridge filters, final filters, airflow, operating parameters, weekly maintenance, maintaining parts for production.
• Curing Oven – proper temperature setting, determine temperature profiles, understand airflow, determine speeds and product exposure.
• Conveyor – Know available system capacity, monitor maintenance with lubrication, perform semi‑annual cleaning.
• Reverse Osmosis – fundamentals and pretreatment, operation of softeners, multimedia filters, activated carbon, log sheets.
• Waste Treatment – parameters and system operation for neutralization, use and maintenance of filter presses.
• Foam application general basics and screen printing process.
• Familiar with statistical methods, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
