Isn’t that a great story to be a part of? **WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT** - Safety in Everything we do - We operate with Respect - We do what we say we will do - We find a better way - We win together, and we lose together - We challenge ourselves and each other **OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY** Responsible for the supervision, coordination and effective scheduling of workers to meet production targets and quality standards. Responsibilities will include the training of staff in production methods, safety, policies and procedures, as well as the identification and correction of potential work problems and health and safety issues. In the course of their duties, the Plant Supervisor will prepare a range of reports, and hold responsibilities for the effective budgeting for their area. **ACCOUNTABILITIES** - Assist in the implementation of any changes in current production processes or any new projects pertaining to production. - Held accountable for ensuring mínimal downtime (ex: equipment malfunction) and interacting with maintenance to document and report downtime. - Supply fair, honest and consistent feedback to production employees. For the purpose of positive reinforcement, and two way communication - document for future performance appraisal. - Ensure daily process audits are completed (ex. Equipment readiness, Primero off, fork lifts, etc). - Conduct all work duties and maintain documentation according to ISO 14001/TS16949 standards. - Support and lead Continuous Improvement activities through reducing inefficiencies and identifying cost savings both within this Puesto and throughout the organization. - Held accountable for timely completion of training/documentation for all direct reports and responsible for the training effectiveness and assessment of personnel. - Actively participate in business related initiatives and support the team spirit. - Track and report out on employee daily attendance. Ensure system accuracy for timely payroll logging. - Daily routine maintenance and safety of the plant (e.g./house cleaning, ensure workstations are neat, clean and safe to work, shutdown/lock up procedures are followed). - Responsible for the safety and well-being of all personnel on their shift and ensure that all work is performed in a safe manner in accordance with all Health & Safety Regulations. - Held accountable for maintaining a firm and fair consistent process of discipline, communicating to the reporting Manager and Human Resources any recommended discipline, and ensuring documentation of all discipline is followed through as per policy. - Compile weekly reports in a business center format and report out on performance measurables. - Conduct daily production meetings and update staff on production demands, quality statistics and safety concerns. **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED** - Background in Supervision in automotive industry - Minimum of 3 years experience - English (B1) - Proactive in learning and development activities - Proven ability to work with and develop people - Works well under pressure, and requires mínimal supervision. - Strong Employee Relations skills. - Has a proven ability to lead and promote a team environment. - Excellent problem solving/analytical skills. - Advanced communications and interpersonal skills are required **NICE TO HAVE** - Knowledge of the steel industry is a plus. - Prior knowledge of IATF 16949 - ArcelorMittal Tailored Blanks is an Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
