Role Overview

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving commercial growth while ensuring strong operational coordination within the region. This role leads sales activities, supports operational performance, and builds strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams to deliver volume growth, service excellence, and sustainable business results in a competitive shipping environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and monitor regional sales performance, ensuring alignment with market trends and business objectives.
  • Oversee logistics, traffic, and operational support functions to guarantee high-quality service delivery and equipment availability.
  • Actively participate in client negotiations to secure and expand cargo volumes.
  • Analyze regional operations and commercial results, identifying opportunities for efficiency, cost optimization, and revenue growth.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving sales, operations, customer service, collections, and demurrage management.
  • Maintain close relationships with local vendors and service providers to improve response times and compliance with operational standards.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting, timely reporting, and reliable information flow to regional and global stakeholders.
  • Support senior management with market analysis, presentations, and commercial initiatives that enhance brand Puestoing.
  • Promote the use of CRM tools to track performance, opportunities, and customer engagement.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities and convert them into sustainable improvements for fleet utilization, service levels, and operational KPIs.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, International Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience within the shipping, logistics, or transportation industry.
  • At least 2 years in a senior or managerial role with direct commercial and team leadership responsibilities.
