Grinding Process Specialist

Are you passionate about grinding processes and precision manufacturing? SKF is looking for a Process Engineer – Grinding to support the continued growth of our Automotive business. This is a highly hands-on, shop floor-focused engineering role, ideal for professionals who enjoy working close to the manufacturing process, solving technical challenges, optimizing process performance, and collaborating directly with production teams to achieve world-class quality, productivity, and process stability. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Process Engineer supporting grinding operations.
  • Proven hands-on experience with grinding processes is required.
  • Strong technical knowledge of cylindrical, centerless, internal, external, or surface grinding processes, including process parameters, grinding wheels, tooling, and dimensional control.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve manufacturing process issues in a production environment.
  • Intermediate conversational English, with the ability to participate in technical discussions and understand engineering documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and sustain grinding processes to ensure process capability, stability, and product quality.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to production by troubleshooting process-related issues directly on the shop floor.
  • Optimize process parameters and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Work closely with Production, Quality, and Maintenance to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
  • Support new product introductions, process validations, and continuous process improvements.
