The Materials Planner (Production Coordinator) serves as the operational backbone of the

Mechatronics assembly team, ensuring that the right parts, tools, and information are available at the right time to maintain a smooth and uninterrupted assembly workflow. This role requires strong organizational skills, a forward-looking mindset, and the ability to manage logistics across a fast-paced robotics production environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor and ensure material and component readiness ahead of each assembly stage, verifying that all required parts, fasteners, and consumables are available before they are needed on the line.
• Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve component shortages, tracking resolution time and minimizing assembly downtime caused by missing or delayed parts.
• Maintain availability and proper condition of assembly tools, fixtures, and supporting documentation (work instructions, BOMs, assembly checklists) required by the production team.
• Act as the primary coordination point between the Mechatronics, Quality, and Supply Chain teams, facilitating fast response to production issues and ensuring alignment on priorities and timelines.
• Maintain a month-to-month visibility of upcoming component needs and production schedules, providing the assembly team with a forward-looking picture of material availability and potential risks.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in production coordination, materials planning, or supply chain roles within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
• Solid understanding of production planning, inventory management, and BOM structures in a hardware manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with supply chain and quality teams in a cross-functional production setting.
• Familiarity with ERP or MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for materials tracking.
