Salary: $38-65k MXN gross per month

As a Principal Engineer, you operate as a senior technical leader and a firm‑wide shared service resource, owning the design, operation, and continuous evolution of core platforms and services used across all business units.

What You’ll Do

The Principal Engineer is a senior technical leader within Engineering, operating as a firm‑wide shared‑service resource. This role owns the design, operation, and evolution of core platforms and services used across all business units. The Puesto requires strong architectural judgment, delivery discipline, professional conduct, and the ability to support the entire firm without functional bias.

Core Responsibilities

Platform Architecture and Ownership

• Design, implement, and maintain shared platforms used firm‑wide

• Own platform lifecycle: architecture, security, scalability, reliability, and roadmap

• Act as design authority for assigned domains

• Produce formal design documentation and technical decision records

DevOps and Platform Engineering

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines

• Automate infrastructure and application delivery

• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and reliability controls

• Enforce infrastructure‑as‑code and deployment standards

• Support incident response as Tier‑3 escalation owner, including root‑cause analysis

Full Stack Development

• Design and implement backend services and APIs

• Build and maintain frontend components where required for platform or internal tooling

• Ensure code quality, security, performance, and maintainability

• Integrate applications with identity, security, and shared platform services

Shared‑Service Support

• Support all business units with equal priority

• Respond within defined SLAs for incidents, escalations, and design requests

• Provide technical guidance to Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, and Application teams

• Eliminate single‑team or legacy platform dependency

Governance and Standards

• Enforce Engineering standards for design, documentation, and change control

• Participate in architecture reviews and roadmap planning

• Ensure compliance with security, operational, and regulatory requirements

Who You Are

Education & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.

- 3+ years of professional experience performing activities related to platform engineering, DevOps, systems architecture, or similar roles

Technical Skills

• Platform and systems architecture
• DevOps tooling and CI/CD design
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Cloud platforms and integration patterns
• Backend development and API design
• Frontend development fundamentals
• Security by design and operational resilience

Operational Skills

• Incident management and root cause analysis
• Change control and release governance
• Cross-team collaboration in enterprise environments
